Players left in Shock after Marrone bolts the Bills

It what can only be called a most unprofessional move, former Buffalo Bills Head Coach Doug Marrone reportedly sent a mass email to his players announcing that he was exercising an opt-out in his contract and leaving the club.

“Any time you get a text message saying that it’s happening, you feel like you got punched in the stomach,” RB Fred Jackson said during his weekly appearance on WGR 550 in Buffalo. “I mean, stuff could have been handled different. We don’t … we all weren’t in the room and understand what went down.”

“It’s the unfortunate part of the business,” Jackson continued. “Everybody makes decisions that best suits them. For us, we’re not going to dwell on what he decided to do.”

The search now begins for a new coach to lead the team into the future.  The Bills finished with a 9-7 record, good enough for 2nd in the AFC North.

Bills get win over Jags

Home Season Finale with Dolphins to be blacked out

The Buffalo Bills turned in their most solid game of the season with Rookie QB EJ Manuel going  at least 70 yards on three drives, that lasted at least eight plays and concluded in touchdowns.

“Those are the things that you get excited about and at the same time you get frustrated about because you want that more and more,” Bills coach Doug Marrone said. “I think it shows the capability of what you can do and then it comes a matter of time. Again, it goes back to … being consistent.”

The Bills conclude the season on the road against Tom Brady and the New England Patriots.  Great seats and tickets remain for both games.

Bills get first win of the season

EJ Manuel proves his high pick status

It took every second of Game two for the Buffalo Bills to pull off the most improbable victory and it took a quarterback to do what had not been done since 1960…post a rookie quarterback rating of 89 or higher through the first two games.

The Florida State alum threw a touchdown pass to WR Stevie Johnson with two seconds remaining in the game for a 24-23 victory over the Carolina Panthers

“I can’t even tell you how it felt,” Manuel said of the touchdown pass. “I think I started crying right then. I’m not usually an emotional guy. But I’m going to enjoy these type of things.”

Manuel finished 29-36 for 293 yards, two touchdowns and an interception.

“This isn’t about learning hard lessons,” said Steve Smith, who had 52 yards receiving. “This is like going to the dentist and getting several teeth pulled without any anesthesia, laughing gas, nothing.”

Tickets are still available as the Bills travel to New York to take on the NY Jets.
