The Buffalo Bills gave their new head coach his first victory of the season and rode the backs of their “bully” defense to secure the win.
“I think, we would have gotten a shutout,” Head Coach Rex Ryan said following a 27-14 season-opening win over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. “But when you’re playing the Colts, that’s not going to happen too often.”
That “bully” defense held one of the leagues most prolific offenses last season to just under 150 offensive first half yards.
“They beat us pretty bad,” Colts QB Andrew Luck said. “You don’t let one game necessarily define you, but that doesn’t make it any easier of a pill to swallow.”
