The Miami Dolphins were hoping to end their losing streak at two games but the Buffalo Bills had intentions of their own and in a battle of wills, the Bills walked away Miami Gardens with a 23-21 victory.
Guided by RB Fred Jackson who had 36 yards and a TD on 11 carries to go along with four receptions for 49 yards, the Bills held the Dolphins scoreless in the first and fourth quarters. This game was especially sweet for Jackson, who broke his leg here in November of 2011.
“Oh yeah, I was motivated. That was something that ran through my mind yesterday. And I wanted to be out there.”
The team expect Jackson to be suited up and ready when the Saints come calling this weekend.
“He’s got a lot of heart. He’s one of those guys who’s a natural leader,” guard Kraig Urbik said. “When we need a little pick up or need a little extra, he’s always the guy to provide it. He’s one of those guys that we always rally behind.”
