Bills sitting at .500

“We need to seize the moment”

DE Kyle Williams

The Buffalo Bills (5-5, 3rd AFC East) have players on their squad that were not even born the last time the Bills won a playoff game (24 years ago) and DE Kyle Williams is urging his team to seize the moment and grab a playoff spot before his time is up.

“As a Buffalo Bill, I’ve had opportunities to make the playoffs, they’ve passed me by,” Williams said, via The News. “We have the opportunity right now. We need to seize the moment.”

The Bills are coming off a slim 4-point 16-12 win over the 3-6 Cincinnati Bengals and know that they need to take it to the 2-8 Jaguars from from the coin flip and throughout the entire game.  It doesn’t help when your head coach is poking fun at (allegedly) your opponent–no need to get them heated up, coach!

“That’s the best two win team I’ve ever seen, and that’s the truth,” Ryan said. “I don’t get it. I mean statistically they’re the seventh rated defense in the league. So they’re ranked higher bills-5than we are on defense. Their offense is 21st in the league, but now they’re healthy. Outside, they’ve got three guys that can really play. I mean they’ve got way more top 100 players than we did last year, you know looking at all that stuff, I thought it was the Jacksonville show. But you know you’ve got a franchise quarterback, that’s what they all tell me. You’ve got Chris Ivory at running back, who’s a great back. I had him with the Jets. I know all about him. He’s a handful. Then you got you know (Allen) Hurns, (Allen) Robinson and (Marqise) Lee is really playing well. Probably the best game that Lee has ever had. So they definitely have those types of weapons on offense. And then they’ve got a big offensive line, physical offensive line. And then on defense, like I said, they’re seventh in the league, with a lot of talent so to think we’re going to overlook them, there’s no chance. I mean I don’t understand it necessary. I think it probably comes down to their turnover —you know, I think they’re at -15 maybe or something like that. And I think that contributes to their record probably more than anything else. But this is a dangerous football team.”

Sarcasm or not, the Bills should be ready for a pumped up Jags team.  You can be there to watch it all!  Plenty of great seats and affordable tickets are still available so be sure to grab yours today and help cheer on your Buffalo Bills!

Bills lose to Ravens in defensive battle

AFC East rival Jets up next

The Buffalo Bills had closed to within three points before halftime on a 1-yard score/run by LeSean McCoy bringing the game to 10-7.  That was the last time the Bills would score as both the Baltimore Ravens and Bills defense stiffened up in the second half.

The Ravens managed to score a fourth quarter field goal to make the score what would be the final, 13-7.

“It’s a pretty darn good defense over there,” Bills coach Rex Ryan bills-3said. “I’m probably one of the only coaches that’ll give credit to the opponent because they deserve it. That defense played extremely well. They’re well coached and they got after us.”

The Bills have little time nor inclination to dwell on this loss.  Playing in Baltimore is tough.  Playing on opening day in Baltimore is nearly impossible.  So let this game pass because Thursday is upon us and the New York Jets are a series team who are also  looking for positive energy after also beginning with an 0-1 record.

Tomorrow’s game is the 111th meeting between the two teams and the Bills have won six of their last seven meetings with them. Whoever wins this game will avoid the early AFC East cellar so be sure to get out and get your tickets and help support your Buffalo Bills tomorrow night!

Spikes returns to Bills after Ragland injury

Former Buffalo Bill veteran linebacker Brandon Spikes has resigned with the team after rookie linebacker ReBills Brandon Spikesggie Ragland went down with an knee injury.  Spikes last played in Buffalo in 2014 and was cut last year by the New England Patriots.

“I’m not real sure,” Head Coach Rex Ryan said about Ragland. “I guess I was just so hopeful there’s not going to be ligament things. My understanding is that as you get going, your leg is so tight, they’ll fight it. You don’t really get a true look of that. So as we mentioned, we got to wait for that swelling to go down.  I know every Bills fan out there is hoping for the best, and that’s certainly what we’re doing, but there is concern.”

The Bills kick off the preseason against the Indianapolis Colts this Saturday.  Plenty of great seats and affordable tickets are still available so be sure to grab yours today and help cheer on your Buffalo Bills!!!
